Clear to see local community group at open day

It was great to be able to pop along to the open day at CLEAR Buckhaven and hear about the work that they carry out throughout the local community as they hosted an open day for the public to open their new office on 36 College Street Buckhaven.

The Fife based community group was established by local residents interested in improving the surrounding area in Buckhaven along with the local environment with the aim to build a better Buckhaven.

From their fruit orchards and community clean ups to working with local schools and youth groups, the staff and volunteers do great work in ensuring CLEAR is a success. Groups such as CLEAR can help offer locals and volunteers the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and bring the community together.

The work they have undertaken in changing a disused play park into a thriving community growing space is a testament to the hard work of everyone involved with the group. Hopefully they will go from strength to strength and will continue to be a success for Buckhaven.

CLEAR, which stands for Community Led Environmental Action for Regeneration, hold monthly meetings on the third Thursday of each month at Buckhaven Community Centre.
